Job summary

Interaction Engineering in Aylesbury is seeking a Production Team Leader to supervise the welding cell and coordinate manufacturing activities to meet targets without compromising quality, safety or delivery schedules. This hands-on leadership role works closely with the Production Manager to maintain a productive, quality-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in welding or fabrication.
• Coded welder qualifications.
• Strong knowledge of welding and fabrication processes.
• Experience in build-to-order or project-based manufacturing.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support the welding production team.
• Organise workloads and coordinate production activities to meet schedules.
• Monitor progress across shifts and communicate updates and challenges.
• Ensure welding/fabrication work meets quality standards.
• Promote health and safety procedures throughout the workshop.
• Maintain production records and job documentation accurately.
• Follow inspection requirements and quality hold points.
• Maximise team performance and efficient use of resources.
• Support capacity planning and delivery targets with management.
• Drive continuous improvement including Lean, 5S, Kaizen and visual management.
• Assist problem-solving and implement production quality improvements.
• Build strong cross-department relationships for smooth operations.
