Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a skilled Welder to join their permanent staff. This role involves welding and re-dressing tools, ensuring service quality, and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will have completed a recognized welding apprenticeship and possess at least 3 years of experience with tungsten carbide dressing. Job description

We are looking to hire a Welder on permanent staff basis. Previous experience working with tungsten carbide dressing/spray powder fusion process is required.

The Welder performs welding and re-dressing of all fishing and remedial tools and related equipment. Service quality, job preparation, planning and safety are key priorities.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Participating in tool-box meetings with all members of the Welding Team.
  • Is always fully compliant with the requirements of the QHSE policies, standards, and wears always required PPE.
  • Maintaining all equipment in good, safe working order according to standards and reports any problem or deviation to Welding Supervisor.
  • Maintaining the supply of oxygen, propane and acetylene bottles.

Applicants to this role require:

  • Completed a recognised welding/fabrication apprenticeship and has a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with tungsten carbide dressing/spray powder fusion process.
  • Must be able to work on their own initiative and read and understand technical drawings.
  • Certified in using the SMAW, GMAW, OFW and GTAW welding processes.
  • Inspect parts to determine dimension and tolerances of finish work piece.
