Job summary

Laker Vent Engineering Limited is seeking experienced pipe welders for site-based TIG welding of stainless and carbon steel piping on UK energy projects, including Hinkley Point C. The role requires NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent, site welding experience, and security vetting.

Right to work in the UK is required; visa sponsorship is not provided. Shifts are 10.5 hours with a 10/4 rotation; travel and accommodation are paid in addition to earnings, with potential mobilization onto other projects

We are looking for reliable, experienced pipe welders with proven experience in TIG welding of stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems. There may be opportunity for you to mobilise onto other projects while your security vetting is being completed.

Rates/Working hours

• 10.5-hour shifts
• 10/4 rotation (Rotations start on Tuesday)
• Travel and accommodation paid in addition to earnings
• Projected annual earnings: £91,854 before tax (including bonus, based on the expected working pattern. Not including travel + accom)

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 / Trade Apprenticeship
• CCNSG Safety Passport - Desirable (training can be provided if required)
• Demonstrated experience with TIG welding in a site-based environment
• Familiarity with welding procedures and acceptance criteria for NDT and visual inspection
• Security clearance/vetting will be required
