Job Opportunity: Welder in Thirsk, North Yorkshire

We are currently recruiting for several Welders based in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. Our client, one of the UK's largest steel-work contractors, has recently secured significant new projects and is looking to expand their workforce.

Position Details:

• Location: Thirsk, North Yorkshire
• Duration: Ongoing Contract or Temp to Perm
• Shifts: Nights (Mon to Thurs, 7:10 PM - 6:40 AM, off Friday)

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in structural steel welding preferred
• Ability to maintain high-quality standards safely within production deadlines
• Weld test participation, including 135 Mag Welding Process on 15mm thick S355JR mild steel plates

Compensation and Benefits:

• Weekly accommodation allowance of £200 (night shift)
• Additional accommodation allowance for overtime work
• Note: Accommodation allowance available only to contractors from outside the area

Pay Rates:

Umbrella: Nights - £28.35 per hour, increasing to £29.66 after 12 weeks

Additional Information:

• Position is subject to a Drugs & Alcohol test
• All tests are conducted on 15mm thick S355JR mild steel plates
