Welder (m/f/d) UK/Shetland

Our international and agile team is looking for a motivated welder (f/m/d) in the UK. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in building and operating the UK’s first vertical launch site. You will lead fabrication, installation, commissioning, and maintenance at our launch site on the Shetland Islands, with potential travel to other European sites. You can choose to be based at Unst or work on a rotation pattern. If you thrive in a dynamic, international team, apply now.

Your Tasks

• Proficient in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding
• Circumferential welding of thin metal, copper, and high-alloy steel
• Welding high-pressure pipes up to 300 bar
• Perform weld inspections
• Prepare components for welding
• Produce prototypes
• Perform repair welding
• Set up welding equipment and monitor the process
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize designs for fabrication

Your Qualifications

• Apprenticeship as a welder, industrial mechanic, or similar qualification
• Experience in TIG and MIG welding, especially non-ferrous metals (copper, aluminum)
• Welding qualification to BS EN ISO 9606-1 and 9606-2 is desirable
• Experience operating metalworking machinery
• MEWP and forklift licenses are desirable
• CSCS green card is desirable
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Independent and structured work approach
• Experience on UK construction sites is a plus
• Willingness to work outdoors and in remote locations
