Job Description: Mechanical Engineer/Welder Pipe Fitter

Location: Norfolk

Contract Duration: Minimum 4 weeks (with potential for extension)

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (half-hour lunch break)
  • Friday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Saturday: 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Overview:

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers/Welder Pipe Fitters to support a project in Norfolk. The contract will last a minimum of 4 weeks, with the potential for extension depending on project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair piping systems for mechanical operations.
  • Perform welding and fabrication work on piping structures.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to complete the project within set timelines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications to execute tasks.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer or Welder Pipe Fitter with TIG welding certification.
  • Competence in welding, cutting, and fitting pipes.
  • Familiarity with industry safety standards and practices.
  • Strong understanding of piping systems, mechanical operations, and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred:

  • Relevant certifications in mechanical engineering, welding, or pipe fitting.
  • Experience working on large-scale industrial or commercial projects.

Pay:

  • Competitive hourly rates; up to £16.00 per hour (to be discussed based on experience)
