Job Overview

Phoenix Manufacturing is looking for Welder Fitters at our Glasgow, Missouri manufacturing facility. This position reports to the shop foreman and involves using flame-cutting and welding equipment to join metal components, weld, fill holes, or seams on metal products. The role requires attention to detail, strong math skills, and the ability to read fabrication drawings.

Responsibilities

• Use measuring devices for layout and fit of steel to be welded.
• Align and fit parts according to drawings.
• Weld pieces in various positions to complete the product as per specifications.
• Grind burrs and sharp edges.
• Inspect completed work for defects.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year welding experience.
• Fitting experience preferred.
• Ability to use basic mathematics and measurements.
• Experience with blueprints and layout measurements.
• Ability to inspect parts before welding.
• Attention to safety and injury prevention.
• Willingness to wear PPE.
• Successful passing of background checks, drug screen, and physical.
