Overview

BAAZ TRUCK & TRAILER MECHANICAL WORKSHOP PTY LTD

Responsibilities

• Interpreting technical drawings and plans to understand welding and fabrication requirements
• Measuring, cutting, and preparing steel and metal parts using hand tools, cutting torches, and power equipment
• Shaping and assembling components through various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, arc welding, etc.)
• Aligning and securing parts using clamps, jigs, and measuring devices to ensure precise fitting
• Inspecting and testing welds for accuracy, strength, and conformance to standards
• Smoothing, grinding, and cleaning welded surfaces to ensure clean finishes
• Performing general fabrication duties for truck body repairs, custom steel works, and workshop fittings

Who We’re Looking For

• AQF Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication/Welding) or equivalent
• At least 1–3 years of hands-on welding experience in a workshop environment
• Strong ability to read technical diagrams and work with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with workshop safety practices and compliance standards
• Experience in automotive or heavy vehicle fabrication (highly desirable)
