Job summary

JTEK Engineering Ltd is seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our growing team in Middleton, Greater Manchester. You'll fabricate, assemble and weld steel components from engineering drawings while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, performing MIG welding, and using fabrication machinery. You will contribute to on-site installation when required and work with colleagues to meet project timelines across varied engineering projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Competent in MIG welding.
• Experience using fabrication machinery and hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
• Perform MIG and TIG welding to a high standard.
• Cut, shape, and assemble materials using workshop equipment.
• Carry out quality inspections on completed work.
• Maintain a safe and organised working environment.
• Assist with on-site installation work when required.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
