Job description

Experienced Welder / Fabricator

Location: West Auckland

A well-established Auckland company, manufacturing & installing high-quality fabricated signage & billboards throughout NZ, is looking for an experienced Fabricator Welder with proven hands-on experience to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

1. MIG / TIG / ARC welding various fabricated parts.
2. Working with Mild Steel & Stainless Steel.
3. Installing, repairing & inspecting components.
4. Determining required equipment / welding method.
5. Developing templates to hold & align parts.
6. Performing cutting, grinding & other workshop duties.
7. Assisting with fabrication in the workshop if required.
8. Traveling for both site & workshop work.

Minimum Requirements:

1. 3 years hands-on welding experience.
2. Current welding tickets are a bonus.
3. Able to weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
4. Weld accurately, with precision & a good finish.
5. Ability to measure / cut accurately / weld neatly.
6. Competent with a variety of hand, power tools & machinery.
7. High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
8. Good numeracy, verbal and written English skills.
9. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, taking pride in your work.
10. Medically and physically fit.
11. Currently living in and have the right to work in NZ.

Wage: Competitive $35/hr to $42/hr rate negotiable with skills & experience & qualifications.

Type: Permanent full-time job, 40 hours per week, with overtime (when available).

Hours: Minimum 40 hrs/week – Mon-Fri: 7 am to 3.15 pm.
