Job summary

A manufacturing company based in Wrexham is looking for a skilled Fabricator / Welder / Sheet Metal Worker. The successful candidate will assist in fabricating and welding stainless steel structures. Applicants should have experience in TIG and MIG welding, ideally from a relevant apprenticeship in engineering. Additional skills in operating press brakes and punch presses are desirable. Competitive hourly rates are offered, alongside overtime rates for weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of fabricating and welding on stainless steel and aluminium.
• Able to TIG and MIG weld to a high standard.
• Ideally time served or served apprenticeship in a relevant engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the manufacture of fabricating and welding Stainless Steel and Steel fabrications.
• Work unsupervised on assigned tasks.

Job description

Rate: £14.00 - £16.00 an hour, plus time and half Saturdays and £25.00 an hour Sundays

Job Purpose: To assist in the manufacture of fabricating and welding Stainless Steel, Steel fabrications

To be suitable for this Fabricator / Welder / Sheet Metal Worker role you must have the following experience / characteristics:

• Must have previous experience of fabricating and welding on stainless steel and aluminium.
• Be able to TIG, MIG weld to a high standard
• Ideally will be time served / served apprenticeship in relevant engineering / sheet metal / fabrication environment.
• Relevant qualifications or training in Sheet Metal Fabrication / Welding.
• The ability to read engineering drawings and use dimensional measuring equipment to measure fabricated parts.
• The ability to work unsupervised.
• Previous experience of operating press brake, punch press and guillotine would be desirable.
