Job summary

David Ritchie implements is seeking two welder/fabricators to perform high‑quality welding and fabrication in line with engineering drawings and specifications. You will weld using MIG techniques, prep materials, and complete finishing steps while maintaining safety standards.

You will read technical drawings, inspect welds for strength and accuracy, and work independently or with a team on larger products. A strong commitment to health and PPE is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a welder in fabrication environment.
• In‑house coding certifications desirable.
• TIG welding experience desirable.
• Apprenticeship or formal training in welding/fabrication.
• Experience with structural steel, stainless steel or aluminum.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high‑quality welding and fabrication work according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Prepare materials, weld prep, grinding and cleaning as needed.
• Fabricate and assemble components to specification.
• Inspect welds for accuracy, strength and quality.
• Identify defects and report promptly; adhere to health and safety rules.

Job description

We are looking for two welder/fabricators to carry out high-quality welding and fabrication work in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Our welders/fabricators are proud to produce quality products that are supplied to the Agricultural and industrial markets. Generally using MIG welding to produce products as per engineering drawings, preparing the materials as necessary – this can include weld prep, grinding and cleaning.

Fabricating and assemble components to specification. Welds need to be inspected for accuracy, strength and quality compliance. You would also be involved in finishing activities such as grinding and polishing.

Identification of defects and reporting these in a timely and efficient manner, working on your own and possibly within a team for larger products. You must at all times adhere to our health and safety rules and PPE requirements.
