Metalis Engineering Recruitment Limited seeks an experienced MIG Welder/Fabricator for Sheffield area projects. You will read drawings, weld to specs, and fabricate metal structures from engineering plans in a workshop setting.

The role requires reliable, punctual performance with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Day shifts, temporary ongoing assignments, and overtime opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a MIG Welder/Fabricator in a workshop or production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans.
• Competent in using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder / Fabricator for a variety of specialist manufacturers throughout the Sheffield area.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and welding, with the ability to work from technical drawings to produce high-quality work with precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on mild and stainless steel components.
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and parts from engineering drawings.
• Operate fabrication machinery, including saws, presses, and grinders.
• Measure, cut, and prepare materials for production.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure welds meet required standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety procedures.

Skills & Experience Required
