Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Welder/Fabricator to work in Ruthin.
You will be working as a welder/fabricator for a company specialising in bespoke building units.
This role will be varied, non-repetitive work for those who take pride in fabricating strong, practical, well-finished structures.
Responsibilities
- Weld and fabricate container conversions, including frames, reinforcements, and fit-outs
- Work with sheet and box section steel, cutting, fitting, grinding, and finishing
- Prepare and weld painted or previously used steel surfaces to safe and durable standards
- Interpret basic drawings or supervisor instructions to complete projects accurately
- Ensure structural integrity across a wide variety of bespoke build
Suitable backgrounds
- Agricultural fabrication – trailers, tractor kit, gates, livestock equipment
- Truck body building, skips, hook-lift bins, or heavy vehicle repair
- Structural steelwork – frames, staircases, supports, mezzanines
- Plant / machinery maintenance and repair – patching, strengthening, welding painted or worn steel
Qualifications
- Strong MIG welding ability (TIG/MMA an advantage)
- Proven ability in framing, strengthening, and reinforcement work
- Practical fabrication experience beyond repetitive line welding
- A safe, methodical approach with pride in high‑quality finishes
