Job description

Proactive Personnel are currently looking for a MIG Welder to start immediately in Todmorden.

Duties

• Operate welding equipment to perform various types of welding, including stick welding and sheet metal fabrication.
• Assemble components and structures according to specifications and engineering drawings.
• Use power tools and hand tools effectively to cut, shape, and join materials.
• Conduct quality checks on completed welds to ensure they meet industry standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.

Skills

• Proficient in various welding techniques, including stick welding and sheet metal fabrication.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with power tools and hand tools relevant to the welding trade.
• Basic maths skills for measuring, cutting, and assembling materials accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 08:00m- 16:30pm and Friday 08:00am- 15:30pm.

Pay is 14.50 an hour.
