Job summary

Arc Recruitment (Yorks) Ltd is recruiting a Fabricator/Welder for our Halifax manufacturing team. The role requires strong MIG welding skills, the ability to read technical drawings, and a hands-on approach to fabrication and assembly.

You will fabricate, weld, and fit components, maintain quality standards, and work safely in a busy workshop. The position offers a temp-to-perm route with an hourly rate up to £17.00 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' relevant fabrication experience required for the £17.00 per hour rate.
• Strong MIG welding skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble components using hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment.
• MIG weld components to a high standard.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Cut, shape and modify sheet metal and other materials.
• Assemble and fit components accurately.
• Carry out quality checks on completed work.
• Use workshop equipment including grinders, cutting tools and other machinery safely.
• Work as part of a team to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.

Fabricator / Welder

Location: Halifax
Pay Rate: Up to £17.00 per hour DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm
Job Type: Temp to Perm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join a busy manufacturing team based in Halifax.

The successful candidate will have strong fabrication and MIG welding experience, with the ability to read and work from technical drawings. This is a great opportunity for an experienced candidate looking for a long-term position with the potential to secure a permanent role.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant fabrication experience required for the £17.00 per hour rate.

Pay & Hours:

• Up to £17.00 per hour depending on experience.
• £17.00 per hour available for candidates with 5+ years' relevant experience.
• Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm.
• Temp to perm opportunity
