Job summary

MPI are looking for a Welder Fabricator for our client based in Kempston, Bedford. This ongoing role runs Monday to Friday, 7:00–15:30 with overtime available. You will be fabricating, welding and assembling stainless steel components, reading technical drawings and working largely independently in a Bedford workshop.

Experience with MIG/TIG welding is essential, along with the ability to work with manual machinery and read drawings. A welding mask of your own is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Read technical drawings and interpret specs.
• Fabricate, assemble and weld medium to large scale products.
• Welding in stainless steel where required.
• Must have own welding mask.

• Fabricate, weld and assemble products in the workshop.
• Read and interpret technical drawings for fabrication work.
• Work with stainless steel components and fittings.
• Maintain PPE and safety standards in the workshop.

Based in Bedford, our client designs, manufactures and installs a wide range of fluid processing equipment, predominantly for the water industry. Tanks and Pipework. They are currently looking for a Fabricator / Welder, to work in their workshop.

The successful individual’s primary responsibility will be the fabrication of their products, so previous experience working with stainless steel, cutting, bending, grinding & assembling using manual machinery is essential.

The role will also require you to MIG / TIG weld as and when required, so a proven ability to weld is also essential, No formal codings are required

The ideal applicant will be able to read technical drawings and comfortable fabricating, assembling, and welding medium to large scale products independently.

Candidates must have their own welding mask.
