Job summary

Siemens Energy in Lincoln is seeking a skilled welder to join the Gas Services team. You will join a highly motivated group, following precise work instructions to produce turbine blades and vanes while meeting safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on welding, inspection, and continuous improvement in a production environment. You will work with Plasma, TIG and MIG techniques, maintain equipment, and apply drawings and layouts to ensure accurate fabrication.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Plasma, TIG and MIG welding techniques.
  • CSWIP 3.0 welding inspection certification plus commitment to development to 3.1.
  • Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Proactive approach and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Pride in maintaining a clean, organized work area for safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Weld turbine blades and vanes to high standards using Plasma, TIG, and MIG processes.
  • Operate welding plant safely and ensure production meets quality/efficiency targets.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and welding layouts for task execution.
  • Inspect produced components using welding inspection techniques.
  • Maintain and update digital production apps to streamline workflows.
  • Inspect welding equipment and tooling for safety and performance, especially during peak periods.
