Job summary

A leading manufacturer in Fakenham seeks a Welder and Fabricator for a temporary to permanent role. The ideal candidate will have proven welding experience, the ability to read technical drawings, and be proficient in MIG and TIG welding. Own transport is essential due to the site's location.

Role- Welder and Fabricator role

Location Fakenham, Norfolk

Working hours Monday to Thursday 7.30am 4.30pm and Friday 7.30pm and 2.30pm

Rate of pay £18.50 per hour

Capacity of role Temporary to Permanent position

Our client is a leading manufacturer who is looking for an additional to their workshop to support their welding function.

Candidates will need to be multi skilled with welding practises.

Main duties will include

• Will be working on Mild and Stainless steel using welding practises
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
• Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
  
  

Candidate attributes

• Proven experience as welder and fabricator
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing
• Proficient in English
• Own transport is essential due to the location of the premises
