A leading company in the production sector is seeking an experienced Welder to join their team in Winsford. The successful candidate will be responsible for MIG welding at a high standard, following technical drawings, and adhering to health and safety regulations. Hours: Days Mon-Fri 07.30 - 16.30 (30-minute lunch break with 15.30 Friday finish), Nights Mon-Thurs (19.45pm - 06.00am with 30-minute lunchbreak)
Key Objectives:
You will be responsible for welding assemblies to a high level of quality. You will be able to read and understand technical drawings and specification sheets and be able to identify weld symbols. You will be responsible for carrying out precision measurements and accurately marking out. You must be able to select the correct materials and be skilled in cutting materials by burning, disc cutting or by machine.
Responsibilities Include:
Following technical drawings and specification sheets
MIG welding to a high standard
Responsibility for your own PPE and welding equipment
Must be able to work individually or as part of a team to meet production targets.
Following clear instructions from team members and senior colleagues
Adherence to health and safety rules and regulations
Maintaining production area housekeeping
Minimize waste by using/disposing of raw materials and consumable items efficiently.

Key skills and experience:
This role is ideally suited to a hands on, organised, proactive and self-motivated individual. Suitable candidates will have:
Hands on manufacturing experience ideally in commercial vehicle bodywork or trailer manufacturing
High quality assembly experience of specified materials such as MIG welding, mild steel, 3mm - 20mm
Demonstrate skillset using various hand tools.
Reading and working from drawings
Ability to ensure production target output and quality is maintained.
