Job summary

Oliver Rae Ltd in Stourbridge is seeking a Welder to join our foundry maintenance team. The role focuses on inspecting, maintaining and repairing foundry boxes, pallets and bolsters, with opportunities for overtime and progression from a temp-to-perm arrangement.

Applicants should have welding or fabrication experience, be comfortable with measuring equipment and maintaining records, and be reliable and detail-oriented. Foundry experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair foundry boxes, pallets and bolsters to ensure they remain safe and production-ready.
• Carry out calibration checks and identify worn or damaged components.
• Complete welding, fabrication and general engineering repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.
• Monitor critical spare parts and consumables.
• Support preventative and reactive maintenance activities as required.
• Help drive continuous improvement, reducing downtime and improving quality.
• Work to high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.

We're recruiting for a Foundry Box Maintenance Technician to join a well-established and growing business with a busy order book and long-term opportunities. This is a temp-to-perm position offering excellent earning potential, regular overtime and the chance to become part of a great team.

Hours

• Monday to Friday, 05:00am - 13:00pm
• Overtime regularly available until 5:00pm
• Premium overtime rates paid after 40 hours worked

The Role
