Job summary

Mploy Staffing Solutons in Crewkerne, Somerset is looking for a skilled Welder to join our manufacturing team. You will fabricate, assemble and repair metal components with TIG welding and other techniques.

You will read technical drawings, use hand and power tools safely, and maintain high quality in every weld, meeting project specs and safety standards. Monday to Friday dayshift, on-site role.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in TIG welding and knowledge of welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/blueprints and specifications.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools for fabrication and assembly.
  • Strong sheet metal and fabrication knowledge.
  • Able to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
  • Good maths skills for measurements and calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques to produce durable metal components.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively during fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other materials according to project requirements.
  • Conduct quality checks on welded joints and finished products to meet safety standards and client specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Assist in the repair, modification, or realignment of existing structures or components as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Duties
