Welder

Welder Salary: £16.49 to start moving to £18.96 in 3x months

Welder Location: Northampton

Shifts:

Candidate to start on days until they have gained their coding’s (usually takes 3x months). Will move onto night shifts once this has completed.

Day shift: Monday – Thursday 7am – 4:15pm Friday 7am – 12pm

Night shift: Monday – Thursday 3:30 – midnight Friday 1:30 – 8pm

Orion are partnered with a precision engineering business located in Northampton who are recruiting for a highly skilled and experienced Welder to join the team.

Company will put the successful candidate through codings. All applicants MUST have strong TIG welding experience in a high precision environment.

Welder Responsibilities

• Operating a semi-automatic welding machine
• Following engineering drawings
• TIG welding to high spec
• Working with Stainless, duplex & super duplex
• Welding with exotic materials to a high precision standard
• Working 3mm – 5mm gauges
• Working on low volume bespoke products

Welder Experience:

• Proven experience working with stainless, duplex & super duplex
• TIG & Mig welding experience on stainless
• Pipe welding
• Bespoke low volume welding
• Operating semi automatic welding machinery
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail
