Castle Employment Group is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Welder for its Risca facility in Newport. The role involves MIG/MAG and Flux Core welding on heavy structural steel for long-term UK infrastructure projects. Immediate weld tests are available, with permanent PAYE positions and overtime opportunities.

Shift is day-based, 37.5 hours per week. Overtime pays up to double time. Applicants should be skilled in reading fabrication drawings and working to strict quality and safety

Qualificações

• Experienced Structural Steel Welder with a background in heavy steel fabrication.
• Confident with MIG / MAG welding.
• Positional Flux Core welding experience required and air arc gouging experience required.

Structural Steel Welder - MIG Welder - MAG Welder - Flux Core Welder

Location: Risca, Newport

Permanent | PAYE | 37.5 Hours Per Week

An established UK structural steel manufacturer is recruiting experienced Structural Steel Welders for its Risca facility. This site is delivering long-term essential infrastructure and nuclear-related projects, offering genuine stability and consistent overtime. Permanent PAYE positions with immediate weld tests available.

Pay and Hours

• Day Shift: £18.89 per hour (£36,835.50 basic per annum)
• Monday to Friday: 7am to 3pm
• 37.5-hour standard working week
• Overtime paid up to double time: £37.78 per hour
• Excellent overtime availability

The Role

• MIG / MAG and Flux Core welding on heavy structural steel
• Positional Flux Core welding, including multi-run fillet and butt welds
• Air arc gouging on heavy structural steel components
• Welding to structural coded standards
• Working from detailed fabrication drawings
• Working to high-quality and inspection standards
• Supporting major long-term infrastructure programmes

About You

• Experienced Structural Steel Welder with a background in heavy steel fabrication
• Confident with MIG / MAG welding
• Positional Flux Core welding experience required
• Air arc gouging experience required
• Experience working on heavy-gauge structural steel
• Previous nuclear or highly regulated industry experience advantageous
• Comfortable working to strict quality and safety standards

This is secure, long-term work on major UK projects.

Offers are made subject to a successful weld test. A Drug and Alcohol test forms part of the pre-employment process and will be carried out on site prior to commencing your first shift.
