Job Title: Welder

Location: Lincoln Main works

Contract Details: Temporary (6-Month Contract with Potential for Extension)

Salary: 30/hour (Probationary Rate, with potential for increase post-probation)

  • Full-time hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel components to fine-limit tolerances.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
  • Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
  • Adhere to industry safety standards and internal company procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and work independently as needed.
  • Execute pipe fabrications/assemblies in line with Siemens Energy standards.
  • Support pipe fitting tasks and conduct tack welding as required.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of all manufactured welds.
  • Work in accordance with welding procedure specifications: WPS4000, WPS4001, WPS4002.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Proven experience in TIG welding, particularly with stainless steel.
  • Strong understanding of welding processes and safety practises.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings accurately.
  • Ability to support pipe fitting and tack welding tasks effectively.
  • Experience with weld inspection and quality assurance processes.

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Additional certifications in welding or related fields.
  • Familiarity with advanced welding technologies and techniques.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Technologies:

  • Proficient in using welding equipment and tools, particularly for TIG welding.
  • Knowledge of welding procedure specifications and quality assurance protocols.
