Job summary

Lodestone Recruitment Ltd, in partnership with an established engineering company in Oldham, is recruiting Welders on a permanent basis. You will predominantly MIG/MAG weld on mild/carbon steel, with TIG capability rewarded with enhanced pay.

The role requires experience in butt welds and multi‑runs, and prior work on heavy engineering projects in Oil & Gas, Nuclear or Defence sectors to coded standards is highly desirable. A stable, well‑known employer and clear progression are offered.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained or time served Welder.
• Predominant experience in MIG/MAG welding on mild/carbon steel; TIG will be paid more.
• Experience in butt welds and multi-runs.
• Prior experience on heavy engineering projects or large fabricated parts; coded standards ideal (Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Defence).

Lodestone Recruitment is currently working in partnership with an established engineering company in Oldham, who are currently looking for Welders on a permanent basis.

The business has been fortunate to experience a busy order book and is now expanding due to further increase in orders.

To be considered for these roles you will ideally be able to demonstrate the following:

• -Apprentice trained or time served Welder.
• -Predominant experience in MIG/MAG welding on predominantly Mild or Carbon Steel, any candidate with MIG & TIG welding will get enhanced pay.
• -Experience in butt welds and multi-runs
• -Prior experience working on heavy engineering projects or big fabricated parts for the Oil & Gas, Nuclear or Defence sectors to coded standard would be ideal.

In return, our client offers the following:

• Salary: 39,000 - 44,600 + overtime paid at x1.5 + company benefits.
• Shifts: Regular days
• Hours: 7:30am-3:30pm Monday to Friday (37.5 hr per week)
• Overtime: Regularly available
• Duration: Permanent
• Pension - 10% contribution from employer / 5% from employee
