Job Title: Welder (Pipe Fitting, TIG & MIG)
Overview:

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled Welder with pipe fitting experience to join their team on an initial 3-month contract, with a strong possibility of transitioning into a permanent role.

Location: PE33
Industry: Industrial and Commercial Fabrication & Installation

The successful candidate will support a variety of fabrication and installation projects across industrial and commercial settings. The role involves both workshop-based fabrication and on-site installations, so a flexible and proactive approach is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality TIG and MIG welding on a variety of metals including stainless steel and carbon steel

  • Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications

  • Carry out precise pipe fitting and fabrication to required tolerances

  • Conduct test fits and quality checks to ensure proper alignment and integrity of welds

  • Collaborate with other trades on-site to complete projects efficiently

  • Adhere to health and safety standards at all times

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in both TIG and MIG welding

  • Strong background in pipe fitting, preferably in industrial or commercial environments

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Welding & Fabrication or equivalent (preferred)

  • CSCS card (desirable)

  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
