Job description

Maxwell Consultancy is working with an established, global engineering business in their search for Welders. These are full-time, permanent positions based at their state-of-the-art facility in Glasgow. The company is experiencing growth and has a robust order book, manufacturing vital components for the Oil & Gas, Nuclear, and Water industries.

What's required?

  • Apprenticeship / time-served Welder
  • Experience with TIG, MIG, and MMA welding processes (training provided)
  • Pipework welder experience
  • Pipefitter experience beneficial but not essential
  • Knowledge of ASME IX, BS EN 15609/15614 standards
  • Ability to fabricate and weld pipework to drawing specifications and schedule as directed by line manager
  • Working to WPSs, health and safety standards, and producing welds up to X-ray quality
  • Collaborate closely with the NDT department

What to expect?

  • 37 contractual basic hours per week
  • Regular overtime available – 1.5x weekdays and 1.66x weekends
  • Pension – 6% employer contribution, 4% employee contribution
  • Life Cover – 3x salary, subject to pension enrollment
  • Manufacturing Bonus – 3% of salary if site manufacturing targets are met, paid quarterly
  • Holidays – 33 days including statutory holidays, with options to buy or sell additional days
  • Working hours – 7:45 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday, 7:45 am to 11:45 am on Fridays
