Job summary

Routes To Work in South Lanarkshire is recruiting an experienced Welder for a full-time, permanent role in our busy workshop. You will be responsible for producing high-quality welded fabrications while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30, in Blantyre. The ideal candidate will have MIG welding experience, be able to read engineering drawings, and work well both independently and as part of a team within a fabrication/manufacturing

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience in fabrication/manufacturing environment.
• Good attention to detail and quality standards.
• Strong practical skills and workshop experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MIG welding to a high standard.
• Fabricate and assemble metal components from engineering drawings.
• Prepare materials for welding and fabrication.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Operate workshop machinery and equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean and organised working area.
