Job Overview

North American Construction Services, Ltd. is hiring a permanent, full-time Welder for our team in Pinson/Birmingham, AL. We are a subsidiary of Fives North American Combustion and part of the Fives Group, with over five decades of experience in industrial thermal processes.

Responsibilities

1. Welding and Joining: Weld, braze, solder, and cement joints to connect pipes and components, ensuring structural integrity and leak-free connections.
2. Pipe Installation: Install, align, and secure pipes, fittings, and fixtures using appropriate tools, following blueprints and building codes.
3. Layout and Measurement: Measure, cut, and thread pipes accurately; interpret blueprints and layout plans for proper pipe configuration.
4. Maintenance and Repairs: Perform maintenance and repair on existing piping systems as needed.

Qualifications

• 6G welding certification
• Ability to interpret drawings and blueprints
• Proficiency in mathematics for layout work
• Skill in trade methods such as pipe fitting, aligning, and installing supports
• Ability to test systems for proper operation and leak-free joints
• Travel up to 80% required
