Job description

Opportunities have arisen for several Fabricator / Welder roles, including Robot Welding, working either a Day shift or Backshift depending on the role. The client is a leader in the UK's Building Services sector in Scarva, delivering offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building solutions across the UK & Europe.

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Fabricators to support a team of skilled welders by fabricating various pipe arrangements from shop drawings. Candidates will be required to work on-site daily within the fabrication/welding facility.

The role involves producing different types of welds, including TIG, MMA, and MAG, with opportunities to develop skills in various welding disciplines and procedures.

Shift Details:

  • Day Shift: Mon - Thurs, 7am - 5pm; Fri, 7am - 4pm
  • Backshift: Mon - Thurs

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience, with an 18% uplift for Backshift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate pipe sets for various diameters (typically carbon steel & stainless steel, 65mm - 500mm) from shop drawings.
  • Operate metal cutting and grinding equipment.
  • Read and understand fabrication drawings.
  • Adhere to welding procedures and ensure proper pipe preparation and fit-up.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in fabrication or welding, including pipe welding.
  • Experience working with ferrous and non-ferrous metals, pipes, flanges, and components.
  • Ability to interpret welding procedures.
  • Confidence in understanding fabrication and assembly drawings.

Desired Criteria:

  • Experience as a pipe fabricator producing various pipe arrangements.
  • Background in heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork, or welding environments.
  • Experience operating machines like Pipe Beveller, Plasma Cutter, Press Brake, TIG, MIG, and MAG welders.
