Job description

We are working on behalf of our client, seeking a skilled Welder. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work while adhering to safety standards. Based in Alfreton, a temporary to permanent role

Duties

  • Perform mainly MIG welding on various components and assemblies. 6-8mm
  • Assemble metal structures according to specifications.
  • Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following all safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on time.
  • Assist in the training of junior welders as required.

What we are looking for -

  • Proven experience in MIG welding is essential. TIG experience is an advantage
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with basic maths for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

What's in it for you -

  • Working Monday - Friday on a day shift (6/7am starts)
  • Pay £14 - £16 per hour
