The National Trust is recruiting a Welcome & Service Team Member for Attingham Park in Shrewsbury. You will welcome visitors, share information about Sunnycroft and Father Christmas visits, and help manage visit times to ensure a smooth, enjoyable experience.

The role is fixed-term until 31 December 2026 and operates on a zero-hour basis, with weekends and bank holidays included. A strong commitment to customer service and teamwork is essential.

Contract/duration:

Fixed term contract until 31-Dec-2026

This is a zero-hour contract, meaning we can’t guarantee a set number of hours each week.

While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We’ll try to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts.

For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.

What It's Like To Work Here

Reporting to the Welcome and Service Assistant Manager, you'll be working alongside the Site Manager. You'll be based at the front gates, welcoming visitors on their Christmas visit and coordinating visit times to make sure the operation runs smoothly.

The team are very enthusiastic about welcoming everyone and the excellent service our team provides plays a huge part in us fulfilling this goal.

What You'll Be Doing

From open to close, Sunnycroft will be open for visitors throughout December and you'll play an important role in greeting and helping our visitors.

No two days will be the same and you can expect to meet lots of different people and help ensure they have a fantastic experience visiting.

You’ll be welcoming people to the site, coordinating bookings, and ensuring that it all runs smoothly with the support of a dedicated Duty Manager. This role would suit anyone with a commitment to delivering great customer service.
