Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Saturdays 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a hands-on and dependable Weighbridge Operator and Yard Labourer to join our busy team. This dual-role position involves operating the weighbridge system to accurately record vehicle and metal weights, along with supporting general yard operations to help keep the site running efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the weighbridge to record weights of incoming and outgoing loads.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of all weighbridge transactions.
• Liaise with drivers and on-site staff to coordinate smooth operations.
• Assist with general yard duties, including cleaning, maintenance, and manual handling tasks.
• Help with loading and unloading of vehicles as needed.
• Conduct basic visual inspections of vehicles.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role or industry is an advantage (training will be provided).
• Comfortable working in outdoor and indoor environments in all weather conditions.
• Basic computer literacy and the ability to learn weighbridge software.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Flexible with working hours, including occasional weekends or overtime as required.
