The Opportunity

We have a vacancy for a Weighbridge Operator to join our production team at the Newbold quarry in Burton.

The primary role involves overseeing weighbridge operations, managing product dispatch and paperwork, yard stocks, and administrative duties such as raising purchase orders, managing raw material orders, investigating variances, month-end duties, and general admin tasks. The role operates in two shifts: 1st shift - Mon to Fri 5:30 AM to 3:45 PM; 2nd shift - 6:30 AM to 4:45 PM.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate the weighbridge ensuring accurate weighing of vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate records for reporting and compliance.

Customer and Client Communication

  • Interact with customers and haulage drivers, providing excellent service.
  • Coordinate with site operations for traffic flow and safety compliance.
  • Process weighbridge data and prepare tickets.
  • Assist with site health and safety policies.
  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of weighbridge systems.
