Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Waste Industry is required.
  • Must be computer literate and familiar with MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure, juggling conflicting priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with waste acceptance procedures and weigh vehicles.
  • Input data into systems and assist with EA Waste Returns.
  • Process invoices and handle telephone enquiries efficiently.

A quick look at the role.

The purpose of the role is to ensure the efficient operation of the weighbridge and associated administration system, whilst keeping specific accurate records.

  • Ensure that all waste acceptance procedures comply with site permit and instructions which have been identified by Company management.
  • Assist the Site Supervisor with the completion of EA Waste Returns.
  • Weigh vehicles, completing tickets as required.
  • Input information into spreadsheets / IT systems as requested.
  • Check suppliers’ invoices, processing for payment, recording information as required.
  • To answer telephone enquiries to company standards, recording and passing messages as required.
  • Operate site administration systems.
  • Complete reports from the computer system as required.
  • Process goods out information as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company procedures.
  • Weigh all vehicles in an approved manner.
  • Operate computer weighing system to ensure charges are made to the correct customer.
  • Compile reports in an approved manner with full regard to required timescales.
  • Carry out other duties as required ensuring operational efficiency.
