Job summary

Smart Solutions is recruiting a Weighbridge Operator to provide temporary cover at a busy Derby site (DE65). The role focuses on accurate weighing, data entry and professional communication with drivers and site personnel.

Working Monday to Friday 7:00am–5:00pm for a two-week assignment, with three paid training days available ahead of start date. This is a hands-on administrative role requiring attention to detail and reliability.

Qualifications

• Weighbridge/administration or transport/logistics experience is desirable.
• Good IT and data entry skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate the site weighbridge, ensuring accurate weighing of all incoming and outgoing vehicles.
• Book vehicles onto the weighbridge system.
• Weigh vehicles in and out, ensuring all information is recorded accurately.
• Check delivery and collection documentation.
• Complete and maintain all relevant paperwork and records.
• Liaise professionally with drivers and site personnel.
• Provide general administrative support as required.
• Follow all site procedures and health and safety requirements.

Weighbridge Operator (Temporary Cover)

Location: Derby, DE65
Pay Rate: £12.91 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm
Contract: Temporary (2-week assignment)

We are currently recruiting for a Weighbridge Operator to provide temporary cover at a busy site in Derby (DE65).

Assignment Details

• Start Date: Monday, 17 August 2026
• End Date: Friday, 28 August 2026
• Training: Ideally available to attend three paid training days from Wednesday, 12 August to Friday, 14 August 2026.
