Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute accurate daily reports to site management and commercial teams.
  • Conduct site inductions for first-time drivers.
  • Act as the primary contact in the event of an on-site emergency.
  • Input accurate data into the Weightron system.
  • Coordinate vehicle movements on-site.
  • Identify and report any non-conformances to relevant departments.
  • Ensure weighbridges are functioning correctly.

What is the job?
As the first point of contact for visitors to our depot, our Weighbridge Operatives play a key role in creating a positive and welcoming experience. A friendly and approachable manner is essential, as you’ll be the face of our operations.

Strong communication skills are a must—you’ll liaise with various internal departments as well as external clients on a regular basis. Accuracy and attention to detail are vital, especially when inputting data into our internal systems, so a good level of computer literacy is required.

Shift Pattern: 4on 4off, days.


Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Reporting: Prepare and distribute accurate daily reports to site management and commercial teams.
  • Site Inductions: Conduct site inductions for first-time drivers, ensuring they understand safety protocols and procedures.
  • Emergency Response: Act as the primary contact in the event of an on-site emergency, following established escalation processes.
  • System Data Entry: Input accurate data into the Weightron system and ensure daily reporting is completed and sent on time.
  • Traffic Management: Coordinate vehicle movements on site by booking vehicles in and out to maintain safe and efficient operations.
  • Compliance & Non-Conformance: Identify and report any non-conformances to the relevant departments for swift resolution.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with internal departments and site visitors, including use of two-way radios.
  • Weighbridge Monitoring: Ensure weighbridges are functioning correctly and within tolerance limits.
  • Documentation Checks:Verify all incoming and outgoing delivery documentation for accuracy and compliance.
