Job Opportunity: Weekend Youth Support Workers

We are recruiting 6 Weekend Youth Support Workers to join our team in Children's Residential Care Homes.

We welcome individuals who may not have the relevant qualifications or experience, as we have a dedicated training department ready to support your development. We believe that some of the best support workers are those with life experience and a desire to work in the care sector.

You will work with young people aged 11 to 21 who are in the care system for various reasons, with diverse needs, behaviors, and disorders. We seek individuals who are confident, understanding, patient, and skilled to positively influence these young lives.

This role involves providing guidance, interaction, and support within residential, educational, or independent living settings, aiming to create a safe environment addressing the intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs of the individuals.

Daily tasks may include supporting with meal preparation, social activities, family contacts, education, and shopping. Please note, personal care is not part of this role.

We are looking for positive role models who are flexible, reliable, and engaging, eager to work in a specialized environment. Full accredited training and qualifications will be provided, including Team Teach, Child Protection, St Johns Ambulance First Aid, Understanding Sexualised Behaviour, Working with Self Harm, Cyberbullying, and Understanding Autism and ADHD.

Applicants will need to complete an enhanced DBS check or provide a portable DBS, and successfully complete an induction program before placements are offered, unless already registered on the new national DBS database.
