The Opportunity: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Veterinary Surgeon to join our long-standing hospital team at Medivet Richmond 24hour. This opportunity offers a fast-paced environment with a varied caseload.
We are searching for a dedicated team player eager to enhance their career. We would particularly welcome someone who shares a passion for medicine and ultrasonography although not essential. 3 or more years experience within the UK is essential.
Being a 24-hour hospital, we encounter a diverse range of cases, spanning from routine consultation, surgeries and dental treatments to complex medical and surgical workups. With our in-house capabilities including full lab, x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy and CT, we handle diagnostics efficiently using modern equipment.
Furthermore, we have several advanced procedures proficient in laparoscopic surgeries, soft tissue surgeries (thyroidectomy, anal gland removal, BOAS and entropion) and orthopaedic surgeries (TPLO, fracture repairs, patella luxation and FHNE). This enables our vets comprehensively manage their cases in house.
We are an RCVS practice standards accredited small animal hospital, with emergency and critical care accreditation.
You’ll be joining an established friendly team with many of the team working for over 10 years at the hospital. The team currently consists of 7 day vets, 3 night vets, 6 day RVNs, 2 night RVNs, 4 SVNs, 3 PCAs and 5 CCAs.
We’re also a registered nurse training practice and graduate vet residency provider.
The practice is situated in South West London, close to beautiful Kew Gardens and Richmond Park. Easy access to central London. There is free parking a short walk away and good road links with M3 and M4 close by. Mainline rail services, London Overground and underground within walking distance. On busy bus routes.
This is a part time role covering weekends only, if more hours are desired, this may be arranged either within Richmond or surrounding practices!
