Job Role: Weekend Support Worker (Supported Housing)

Salary: £8.075 per year (full-time equivalent £25,235)

Hours: 12 hours per week

Contract type: Permanent

Location: Mendip, Shepton Mallet & Frome

Additional information:

The Role:

As a Weekend Support Worker, you’ll be providing vital support to individuals with a history of rough sleeping and complex needs.

Based across four properties, you’ll help residents maintain their tenancies and work towards greater independence. This is a hands-on, person-centred role where you’ll build strong, trusting relationships and support clients in a meaningful and consistent way. Working in close partnership with the weekday Support Worker, you’ll ensure continuity of care and play a key part in each individual’s journey toward a more stable future.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Empowering clients with diverse and complex needs
  • Championing a strength-based, trauma-informed approach
  • Building strong partnerships with local agencies
  • Keeping client records accurate, clear, and up to date
  • Tracking referrals into the service

Since job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the post holder may be required to undertake other duties, which are broadly in line with the above key responsibilities

  • 30% staff discount at Julian House charity shops
  • 20% staff discount at Julian House bike workshops
  • A generous and competitive pension scheme
  • Instant access to healthcare professionals and discounts on a variety of health treatments through our Simply Health Scheme
  • A supportive culture where staff feedback is highly valued and regular supervisions with line managers are conducted
  • 6 weekly reflective practice sessions from objective, external facilitators
