Hours of Work:

22.5 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday 07:45am – 20:15pm

Project Description

The Emergency Assessment Centre in Aberystwyth supports homeless individuals in Ceredigion by providing a safe space and assisting their transition to permanent accommodation. The centre operates 24/7, accommodating up to 10 people in single bedrooms with shared facilities. It is funded by Ceredigion County Council and the Welsh Government’s Housing Support Grant.

Purpose of Role

The role involves providing residential support to empower Service Users to overcome housing and personal challenges, develop skills and confidence, and maintain future accommodation. The support approach is collaborative, involving accompanying Service Users to activities or appointments, fostering independence, and helping them manage their issues. Additionally, the role includes assisting with housing management to ensure a safe and effective service.

Additional Information

This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure. We are not engaging agencies for this vacancy.
