Join us as a Weekend Support Practitioner in the Forest of Dean

We are recruiting for a role supporting learning-disabled adults with challenging behaviour. A professional qualification in health, education, or social care is desirable, and previous experience in social care, education, or health environments supporting individuals with Autism is essential.

What we offer:
  • Location: Coleford (Forest of Dean)
  • Salary: £14 per hour, increasing on 1st October 2024
  • Hours: Weekends, including early, late, sleep-in, or night shifts (07:00-14:30, 14:30-22:00, 22:00-07:00). Sleep-ins are paid at £60+ per night.
  • Holidays: 33 days including bank holidays
  • Incentives: Overtime, bank holiday, and key date allowances
  • Training: Fully funded Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care
  • Benefits: Health, retail, and cash incentives
Responsibilities:

Supporting individuals with daily tasks, personal care, and enabling independence. Activities range from planning shopping, outdoor adventures, attending gigs, to teaching life skills like money management. Supporting people to discover interests, achieve goals, and maintain relationships is key.

Providing high standards of care, listening to needs, assisting with medication, cooking, and building confidence. Flexibility with shifts helps maintain work-life balance.

Note: Public transport is limited; a driving license or access to a vehicle is preferred.
