Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is advertising a part-time Sterilisation / Endoscopy Technician at Furness General Hospital in Barrow-in-Furness. Working Saturday and Sunday 09:00–17:30, you will decontaminate and sterilise surgical instruments and prepare sterile procedure packs for Endoscopy and the NHS Trust.

Experience in an accredited Sterile Services unit is preferable; training will be offered to the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Technical certificate or NVQ 3 in decontamination or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of all decontamination processes in sterile services.
• Experience in Sterile Services or hospital setting.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and sterilise surgical instruments.
• Provide sterile procedure packs for Endoscopy and NHS Trust.
