Job summary

Ward Security in London is seeking an experienced Security Officer to safeguard a prominent facility. You will deliver excellent customer service, perform ID checks, respond to emergencies and maintain a professional environment at all times.

The role requires a valid SIA licence, strong communication skills and a track record in security. Shift pattern covers Saturdays and Sundays at £15.00 per hour, with a focus on safety, reporting, and visitor assistance.

Qualifications

• Must have an SIA licence.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proven work experience as a Security Officer (min 1 year).
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports.
• Resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Experience in corporate security (min 1 year).
• Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
• 5-year checkable work history.
• IT literate and able to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.

Responsibilities

• Act as point of contact and information centre for staff and visitors.
• Provide clear information in person, over the phone or by email.
• Report issues to supervisor or duty manager.
• Maintain professional conduct at all times.
• Respond to emergencies.
• Deal with conflicts appropriately.
• Write incidents to standard expected by management.
• Carry out ID checks.
• Be vigilant to health and safety risks.
• Work on own initiative.
• Ensure reception areas and common spaces are kept clean.
