Join Our Team as a Weekend Security Officer:

This site is a financial institution situated in the heart of Edinburgh.

The role is based within the facilities Team, reporting to the Wilson James Security and Facilities Manager and the client's representative on site.

The main function is providing onsite security and assurance to our prestigious client located in central Edinburgh, whilst assisting with the facilities management.

About the Role:

You will be an experienced, ultra-professional and very smart officer, more used to dealing with high-end clients in corporate environments. You must be flexible in your approach and willing to cover other roles within the team, including Front of House, which requires the wearing of a dress uniform in a concierge role.

Weekend Security Officer you will be responsible for:

  • As a To carry out a variety of security and facilities tasks as directed by the Security and Facilities Manager and the client's representative on site.
  • To support the security and facilities operation on site
  • Carry out security patrols of the external and internal areas with the use of the TrackTik device.
  • To monitor CCTV system.
  • Management of on-site contractors.
  • Meet and Greet staff.
  • Act as a first point of contact for all staff requests, send those requests to relevant people (for example, caretakers or hospitality), or if possible, act on the requests yourself.
  • Work closely with other departments.
  • Complete Electronic DOB on daily basis.
  • Take in deliveries and mail
  • Issue staff and contractors passes.
  • Escort contractors and visitors when necessary
  • Lock up the building and set the intruder alarms on backshift and after weekend works or patrols.

What we are looking for:

  • DS SIA Licence
  • Experience in a similar role
  • To be thorough and to quickly pick up the task in hand
  • Excellent IT Skills, including use of Microsoft packages
  • Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability
  • Able to deal calmly and confidently with all demands from the public.
