Job summary

The Entertainer in Newport is seeking a Weekend Sales Assistant to provide friendly, energetic service to customers, demonstrate products and assist with till transactions. You should enjoy toys, be reliable on weekends, and help create memorable shopping experiences for families.

Expect 10-hour contracts with 4-hour Saturday shifts and 6-hour Sunday shifts, with flexibility for additional hours during holidays. Benefit from store discounts and access to career development resources.

Key Information about this role:

16-20 year olds - £11.15per hour.

21-year-oldplus - £12.71per hour

What we need from you:

As a Weekend Sales Assistant, we want you to be:

- available to work both Saturday and Sundays

- confident and approachable

- hardworking and ambitious

- caring and excited about selling toys!     

What your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver outstanding customer service, prioritising customers and delivering a great shopping experience.

• Sharing your knowledge about our product range and offering helpful advice to our customers.

• Actively participate in demonstrating products and occasional character visit days.

• Process sales transactions accurately, securely and efficiently through the till points.

• Maintain merchandising of toys to company standards

Weekends are our busy time so we need to be able to deliver a great experience to our customers. We will offer you a 10 - hour contract, working 4-hour shifts on a Saturday and 6-hour shifts on a Sunday. Depending on the trading hours of the store you’re applying for it is also important that you are able to be flexible with start and finish times. We may also ask you to help the store by working extra hours especially at Christmas and in school holidays.
