Job summary

The Entertainer in Newbury is looking for a Weekend Sales Assistant who is confident, approachable and eager to help customers find the perfect toy. You will work with a friendly team to deliver a memorable shopping experience on Saturdays and Sundays.

You'll process sales at the till, share product knowledge, demonstrate toys and participate in occasional character visit days. The role offers shifts on weekends with a 4-hour Saturday and 6-hour Sunday pattern, with extra hours possible during

Key Information about this role:

16-20 year olds - £11.30per hour.

21-year-oldplus - £12.86per hour

What we need from you:

As a Weekend Sales Assistant, we want you to be:

- available to work both Saturday and Sundays

- confident and approachable

- hardworking and ambitious

- caring and excited about selling toys!

What your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver outstanding customer service, prioritising customers and delivering a great shopping experience.

• Sharing your knowledge about our product range and offering helpful advice to our customers.

• Actively participate in demonstrating products and occasional character visit days.

• Process sales transactions accurately, securely and efficiently through the till points.

• Maintain merchandising of toys to company standards

Weekends are our busy time so we need to be able to deliver a great experience to our customers. We will offer you a 10 - hour contract, working 4-hour shifts on a Saturday and 6-hour shifts on a Sunday. Depending on the trading hours of the store you’re applying for it is also important that you are able to be flexible with start and finish times. We may also ask you to help the store by working extra hours especially at Christmas and in school holidays.
