Job summary

Bridgehouseabingdon is seeking a Weekend Receptionist for our care home at Harts Gardens. You will meet, greet and sign in visitors, keep the reception area neat, and ensure guests are comfortable with a refreshment.

You will be the first contact for inquiries, answer calls and emails promptly, manage supplies and help colleagues with a positive, supportive attitude. Minimum 24 hours per week; weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required; full training provided.
• Experience in reception or customer service preferred.
• Able to work weekends and 24 hours weekly.

Responsibilities

• Answer the front door intercom promptly and welcome visitors.
• Be the first point of contact for incoming enquiries by phone and email.
• Ensure office stationery and refreshments are ordered as required.
• Solve problems and queries from visitors and internal/external bodies.
• Foster a cooperative, positive atmosphere within the office with colleagues, visitors and suppliers.

About the role

As our Weekend Receptionist you will meet, greet and sign in all visitors at the office. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the reception area is always neat and tidy and will ensure that each and every visitor is comfortable and has a refreshment whilst in the reception area. You’ll interact with our people on a daily basis - so you’ll be friendly, caring and kind.

Here’s some other important things you need to know:

• To answer the front door intercom promptly and ensure each visitor to the office are welcomed.
• To be the first point of contact for incoming enquiries into the office. Answering the phone and emails promptly and in a polite manner as soon as possible
• To ensure that all office stationery and refreshments are ordered as requiredTo take responsibility for solving problems and queries brought by visitors or and internal and external bodies.
• To engender an atmosphere of co-operation and positivity within the office dealing with colleagues, visitors and suppliers with courtesy and respect at all times.
