Job summary

Pinnacle Group is seeking an Weekend Police Custody Cleaner to maintain high cleanliness standards at Harrogate Police Station. The role is 8 hours per week, Saturdays and Sundays, with early morning shifts and possible overtime discussed at interview.

You will work as part of our Soft Facilities Management Cleaning Team to keep custody areas safe and hygienic. The successful candidate must be physically fit, able to work alone or in a team, and pass a UK NPPV check.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to carry out manual cleaning tasks.
• Knowledge of colour coding cloths, manual handling, COSHH and Health & Safety.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team, with initiative.
• NPPV check required; must have resided in the UK for the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general and deep cleaning duties across custody areas (cells, interview rooms, offices, washrooms, welfare areas and communal spaces).
• Clean floors, surfaces, fixtures and high-touch areas to required standards.
• Empty bins, restock supplies and store cleaning equipment safely.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols, biohazards, infection control and contamination controls.
• Ensure PPE/uniforms are used during working hours.
• Take instruction from Cleaning Supervisor and report maintenance issues to the supervisor.

Pinnacle Group is looking for an experienced Weekend Police Custody Cleaner to provide and maintainhigh standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our communities.You will be joining our Soft Facilities Management Cleaning Team based at the Harrogate Police Station HG3.

Our Soft Facilities Management division delivers essential services to homes, schools, universities and public sector organisations - including housing providers and blue light authorities. We focus on creating clean, safe and welcoming environments, with a commitment to quality, community impact and customer care.

Your role will be to provide and maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for staff, users, and visitors to a high standard throughout the Police Station. You will be reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellence.

This is a Permanent Position of 8 hours per week, working Saturday & Sunday 6am to 10am or 7am to 11am. There is also possible overtime available, which can be discussed at the interview stage.

• Adhere to strict protocols regarding health and safety guidance, biohazards, infection control, and contamination at all times.
• Ensure appropriate PPE/uniforms are always used during working hours.
• To take instruction and advice from the Cleaning Supervisor.
• Report any maintenance issues, hazards or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

Key Requirements:

• Physically fit and able to carry out manual cleaning tasks with the knowledge of colour coding cloths, manual handling, COSHH & Health & Safety
• The ability to work alone and as part of a team, and be able to demonstrate initiative.
• The appointment of this role will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) Check, and you must have resided in the UK for the last 3 years.
